With the help of her father, artist Martin Chiu, Ligin Baker founded Martin
Chiu Studio in May 2005 and has been an art dealer for fine art collectors.
She took the Trump University Entrepreneurship Mastery Course in 2006.
Under the early influence of her father in art lessons, she is interested in
photography and drawing. She also took classes with the award winning
watercolor artist Kathy Dunham for drawing and sketching.
Mrs. Baker was born in Taiwan. She received a Bachelor of Arts in foreign
literature and languages in the National Chung Hsing University. She also
received a diploma in the Swiss Hotel Management School “Les
Roaches.” Her job experience includes working as an English teacher,
executive secretary, and hotel manager. She speaks Taiwanese, Mandarin,
English and French.
As a member of the American Translators Association, Mrs. Baker
is also a freelance interpreter and translator. She has been doing blogging
since June 2006 and her Chinese blog was nominated for the 2008 Global
Chinese Blog Award.
Mrs. Baker has lived in Taiwan, Switzerland and Canada. She moved to the
US in 2001 and currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada and La Quinta,
California with her husband and her dog, Casino.
